Plus ONE Programs Available

There are currently two offerings in the Plus ONE program:

Bachelor of Science in Information Security ->

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Management ->

Admission Requirements

  • Completion of 18-27 post-secondary courses, such as English, mathematics, natural sciences, other core subjects and related professional courses.
  • English Proficiency: TOEFL IBT 65+, IEP 3.0, or an equivalent as determined by WTU

Course Delivery

  1. Class sizes are small, with approximately 20 students per class.
  2. Students have the opportunity to complete one course per month. Each contains ten learning modules which are taught by professors from Washington Technology University—all with doctoral degrees. Additional learning is achieved through required readings, video, and audio.
  3. Classes at WTU are conducted in a ‘Live-Online’ teaching mode. This allows students and faculty to work together online - synchronously. Sessions are recorded for easy review of course content.
    To reinforce learning, students participate in face-to-face discussions online, contribute posts in discussion forums, and complete formal assignments.
  4. In addition to their course instructor, students will be assigned an academic advisor, who will be available for daily counselling and progress-checking.

Note: As classes are remotely taught, there is no need for you to apply for a student visa.

Graduation Requirements

  • Complete 36 courses (including 18-27 courses transferred), plus a graduation-designed course
  • A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 based on a 4.0 system

Tuition and Fees

  • Application Fee $50
  • Tuition $1000 per course
  • Book Fee $75 per course

Advantages of the Plus ONE Program

  1. Through the Plus ONE program, students with a diploma can earn a Bachelor's degree.
  2. In terms of admission requirements, this program is comparatively less demanding than the aforementioned programs.
  3. The graduates of this program are awarded a Bachelor's degree from the United States, which positively impacts the opportunity for further study in the United States.
  4. The professors of this project are all PhDs who have a deep understanding of their industry and related academic research. WTU’s Bachelor of Science programs also equip students with a variety of important practical skills.
  5. This is a ‘plus’ if and when students apply for a job, especially in the IT giants like Google and Amazon in the Pan-Seattle area.

INFORMATION SECURITY

The Bachelor of Science in Information Security at Washington Technology University is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of information technology as well as prepare students to address a wide range of vulnerabilities and threats that affect private, corporate, and government computer information systems. This program prepares students to design and implement key technologies and processes needed to protect critical information in cyberspace.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & MANAGEMENT

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Management at Washington Technology University is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage teams and organizations in technology-related fields. The skills students learned will allow them to work in companies specializing in high-tech products and services – companies demanding rapid decision-making due to complex operational environments. The program also provides for students, a pathway to entrepreneurial careers in technology, software, and information systems.
